If you are building a luxury kitchen or a commercial lobby, you will eventually decide between these two giants. Both are quarried in Andhra Pradesh, but they are worlds apart.
Absolute Black (The Stealth Choice)
Aesthetic: Pure, pitch black. Zero grain visible from a distance. It is the "little black dress" of stone.
Best For: Modern, minimalist kitchens and monuments.
Price: $$ - $$$ (Depends on grain tightness).
Black Galaxy (The Showstopper)
Aesthetic: Dark black background filled with copper/gold flakes (Bronzite). Under downlights, it sparkles like the night sky.
Best For: Luxury villas, hotel receptions, and statement islands.
Price: $$$ - $$$$ (More gold = Higher price).
The Durability Test
Both are Mohs 6-7. However, Absolute Black is denser and takes a higher gloss polish (95+). Galaxy is slightly more prone to 'pitting' due to the metallic flakes.
