The Scratch Test

Natural Nero Marquina is one of the most beautiful stones on earth—a deep black limestone with striking white lightning veins. But it is soft. It scratches if you look at it wrong. Our Marquina Nero Porcelain changes the equation.

Visuals vs. Performance

Thanks to 8K digital printing, our porcelain slabs look identical to the natural stone. You get the same dramatic white veining. But mechanically, they are worlds apart:

  • Scratch Proof: You can drag furniture over porcelain without leaving a mark.
  • Acid Proof: Spilled wine won't etch the surface (unlike real Marquina which dissolves with acid).
  • Cost: Porcelain is a fraction of the price of premium Spanish black marble.

For a fireplace, buy the real stone. For a kitchen floor, buy the porcelain.
