Nature's Rorschach Test

Bookmatching is the practice of matching two (or four) stone slabs, so that two adjoining surfaces mirror each other, giving the impression of an open book.

Which Stones Work Best?

Not all stones can be bookmatched. You need Movement and Veining.
Best Candidates: Alaska White, Black Forest, Fantasy Brown, and Indian Statuario.
Poor Candidates: Absolute Black or Steel Grey (too consistent).

The Factory Process

Standard blocks are cut 1, 2, 3, 4. To bookmatch, we polish face #1 and the back of #2. This requires precise calibration. Ruvello marks every bookmatched bundle clearly (A/B) to ensure your installer gets it right.

The Cost

Expect a premium. Bookmatching requires specific block selection and slows down the polishing line. But the visual impact adds immense value to any lobby.
