The Green Invader

Sandstone is porous and holds moisture, making it a breeding ground for algae, especially in shaded north-facing gardens.

Cleaning Protocol

Quick Fix: Chlorine Bleach (diluted). It kills algae instantly and bleaches the stone back to its original color. Rinse thoroughly.
Long Term: Apply a "Benzalkonium Chloride" biocide ("Wet and Forget" style). This stays in the pores of the Kandla Grey and prevents regrowth for 6-12 months. It is safer for pets once dry.
