The Driveway Disaster
Sandstone is porous. Oil soaks in fast. If your car leaks on Kandla Grey, act fast.
The Protocol
- Absorb: Immediately pour cat litter, sand, or sawdust on the spill. Let it soak up the surface oil.
- Degrease: Apply a specialist engine degreaser or strong dish soap. Scrub vigorously.
- Poultice: For old stains, use a poultice to draw the oil out from deep in the pores.
Prevention: Always seal a sandstone driveway with a penetrating oil-repellent sealer.
