Texture for Safety

When using granite outdoors (like Absolute Black), a polished finish is dangerous when wet. You need texture.

Flamed Finish

Created by passing a high-temperature oxy-acetylene torch over the stone. The heat causes the quartz crystals to burst, creating a rough, natural surface. It mutes the color slightly but provides excellent grip.

Bush-Hammered Finish

Created by a machine pounding the stone with a multi-point tool. It creates a uniform, pitted surface that looks industrial and consistent. It offers extreme slip resistance, even in heavy rain, and is often preferred for commercial plazas and public walkways.
