Size Matters

When buying granite, you will hear terms like 'Gangsaw' and 'Cutter'. Here is the difference:

Gangsaw Slabs (Big)

Cut from massive blocks using a machine with 80+ reciprocating steel blades.
Size: Approx 10ft x 6ft (300cm x 180cm).
Use: Essential for kitchen islands to avoid seams. More expensive due to processing cost.

Cutter Slabs (Small/Verticals)

Cut using a large circular saw (multi-blade block cutter) from smaller blocks.
Size: Approx 6ft - 10ft length, but only 2ft - 3ft height (width).
Use: Perfect for standard countertop depth (26 inches) or backsplashes. Much cheaper than gangsaw slabs.
