Low Maintenance, Not No Maintenance
Granite is tough, but it's not magic. Lighter granites like Alaska White are slightly porous and should be sealed once a year. Darker granites like Absolute Black are so dense they rarely need sealing.
Daily Cleaning
Warm water and a drop of dish soap is all you need. Avoid Windex or ammonia-based glass cleaners. Ammonia eats away at the sealer over time, leaving the stone dull and vulnerable to oil stains.
