It's Not Just About Color

The texture of the stone can completely transform a project. Here are the three kings of finishing.

1. Polished (The Classic)

Look: Mirror-like, glossy, deepens the color.
Pros: Seals the pores, easy to clean.
Cons: Shows scratches and etching easily.

2. Honed (The Modern Matte)

Look: Satin, matte, smooth to touch.
Pros: Hides scratches well. Very popular in Europe and Modern US homes.
Cons: More porous. Requires frequent sealing.

3. Leathered (The Texture)

Look: Rippled, textured, soft sheen.
Process: Diamond brushes scour the softer parts of the stone.
Best For: Absolute Black and Steel Grey. It hides fingerprints perfectly.
