Seamless Luxury vs. Practicality

When covering a large floor (like a mall or hotel lobby), you have two choices: Gangsaw Slabs or Calibrated Tiles. The cost difference lies in installation, not just material.

Granite Slabs (The Luxury Choice)

These are massive (10ft x 6ft). Installing them creates a stunning, almost seamless floor with very few joints.
Pros: High-end look, fewer grout lines to clean.
Cons: Requires cranes and highly skilled labor to install. Higher waste factor (15-20%).

Granite Tiles (The Practical Choice)

Typically 24x24 inches or 12x12 inches. Cut from smaller blocks of Tan Brown or Steel Grey.
Pros: Much cheaper material cost. Easy for a single tiler to install. Lower waste (5%).
Cons: More visible grid lines (grout).

Verdict: For 5-star hotels, use Slabs. For office corridors, use Tiles.
