Safety at the Edge

You want the luxury of polished granite steps, but you don't want a lawsuit. Here are the options:

  1. Anti-Slip Grooves: We cut 3 parallel lines into the stone near the edge. Simple, effective, cheap.
  2. Sandblasted Strip: We mask off a 2-inch strip and blast it with grit. Creates a rough, matte texture that offers high grip. Best for Absolute Black as it creates a nice grey contrast strip.
  3. Full Flamed Tread: The entire top surface is rough (flamed), while the vertical riser remains polished. The safest option for snow/rain zones.
