The Hidden Detail

Cheap granite often varies in thickness—one end of the slab might be 18mm, the other 22mm. On a large floor, this creates "lippage" (uneven steps) that is a tripping hazard and looks unprofessional.

The Calibration Process

Ruvello uses Italian calibration machines to grind the back of every slab or tile. This ensures a precise uniform thickness with a tolerance of just +/- 1mm. This allows installers to lay floors faster, using less adhesive, and achieving a perfectly flat "mirror" floor finish.
