A waterfall island is where the countertop material flows over the edge and down to the floor. It is a hallmark of luxury design. The key to a successful waterfall is the Vein Flow.
Matching the Veins
If the veins abruptly stop at the edge, it looks cheap. You need consecutive slabs from the same block. We supply bookmatched slabs of Viscon White or Fantasy Brown specifically for this purpose. This allows the fabricator to miter the edge at 45 degrees so the veins cascade down the side continuously, like a real waterfall.
