The Source of the Stone

India is the world's largest exporter of granite blocks and slabs. For wholesalers and large developers in the USA, UK, and Europe, buying direct from the factory is the only way to secure competitive pricing. But how do you navigate a market thousands of miles away?

Step 1: Choose Your Region

India is huge. Granite hubs are split by geography:
South India (Bangalore/Hosur/Chennai): This is the hub for hard, dark stones. If you want Absolute Black, Black Galaxy, or Tan Brown, you buy here.
North India (Rajasthan): This is the hub for colorful, budget-friendly stones. If you want Rosy Pink, Crystal Yellow, or Green Marble, you source from Jaipur or Kishangarh.

Step 2: Understand Pricing (FOB vs. Ex-Works)

Ex-Works: Price at the factory gate. You handle everything else. (Risky for beginners).
FOB (Free on Board): The standard. We deliver the container to the Indian port and clear customs. You pay ocean freight.
CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight): We pay for shipping to your port (e.g., New York). This is the easiest method for new buyers.

Step 3: Quality Control (The Critical Step)

Photos are not enough. You need a trusted partner.
Thickness: Ensure slabs are calibrated. A "2cm" slab that varies from 18mm to 22mm is useless for fabrication.
Color Variation: Natural stone varies. Ensure the factory "dry lays" the tiles to check for color matching before packing.
Cracks: Demand a "Water Test" video where water is sprayed on the slab to reveal hairline fissures.

Step 4: Logistics & Packaging

Granite is heavy. A 20ft container can hold approx 27 tons (Europe) or 19.9 tons (USA).
Packaging: Ensure the wood is ISPM-15 fumigated (stamped). If not, US Customs will burn the crates and charge you for it.
Bundling: Slabs must be packed in "Bundles" inside the container using heavy timber A-frames.

Why Ruvello?

We are not just a factory; we are a full-service export house. We handle the sourcing, the QC inspection, the fumigation, and the logistics. You get a "Landed Price" that includes everything, taking the risk out of importing.
