The UK/Europe Advantage
European roads allow for heavy loads. We can stuff a 20ft Heavy-Rated Container with up to 27,000 kg (27 tons) of stone.
Yield: Approx 450 sqm of 2cm Black Pearl. This makes freight cost per square meter very low.
The USA Restriction
US road weight limits are stricter. In many states, a tri-axle chassis is required for heavy containers, and even then, the max cargo weight is often capped at 19,900 kg (approx 20-21 tons) to remain street legal without an overweight permit.
Yield: Approx 330 sqm of 2cm material.
The Trick: US buyers often pay more freight per sqft. To optimize, smart importers mix 3cm slabs (heavy) with 1cm tiles (lighter/compact) or use rail transport from the port to get closer to the destination before hitting the road.
