The British Garden Staple
Walk into any garden center in the UK—from London to Leeds—and you will see "Indian Sandstone". Why has a stone from Rajasthan become the default choice for British patios?
1. Grip in the Rain
The UK is wet. Glazed tiles become ice rinks. Indian Sandstone, specifically Kandla Grey and Raj Green, has a natural "riven" (split) surface. This texture provides a high coefficient of friction, making it naturally non-slip even during a downpour.
2. Frost Resistance
Concrete pavers often crack after a freeze-thaw cycle. Indian sandstone is dense and geologically formed to withstand temperature swings. We export 22mm calibrated slabs that are easy for landscapers to lay on a standard mortar bed.
3. Aesthetics that Age Well
Unlike concrete which fades, natural stone develops a patina. Autumn Brown sandstone often grows moss and lichen in a way that looks rustic and charming, perfect for cottage gardens.
