The Chunky Look with Thin Stone

Large porcelain slabs like Aarezo Blue usually come in 12mm thickness for countertops. This looks too thin for many modern designs.

The Mitering Solution

We cut the edge of the slab at a 45-degree angle. We cut a separate strip for the "apron" (edge piece) also at 45 degrees. We glue them together.
The Result: A seamless 90-degree corner. The vein flows from the top surface down the edge. You can make the counter look 2 inches, 3 inches, or even 6 inches thick, while keeping it lightweight.

Fabrication Note

This requires a high-precision bridge saw. If the cut is slightly off, the joint will be visible. The glue must be color-matched epoxy. When done right, it looks like a solid block of stone.
