The Black Tuxedo of Flooring
A polished Absolute Black floor looks incredibly sophisticated. It reflects furniture like a mirror. But be warned: it is a lifestyle choice.
The Dust Factor
Black hides stains (coffee, wine), but it highlights dust. A tiny speck of white lint or grey dust stands out like a beacon against the pitch-black background. You will likely need to use a dust mop (microfiber dry mop) daily.
The Smudge Factor
Bare feet leave oil marks. On a high-gloss black floor, these can be seen in reflected light.
Cleaning Hack: Do not use wax or soapy cleaners—they leave a hazy film that looks terrible on black. Use a mix of water and a splash of vinegar (only for granite, not marble!) or a specialized stone cleaner that evaporates completely. Buffing with a dry towel after mopping prevents water streaks.
