Natural vs. Engineered

Architects love the consistency of Quartz. Hotel owners love the durability of Granite. Who wins?

Quartz (The Consistency King)

Pros: Every slab looks identical. Perfect for 500 hotel rooms where uniformity is required. Non-porous (no sealing needed).
Cons: Cannot be used outdoors (UV rays turn it yellow). Can burn if a hot pan is placed on it.

Granite (The Indestructible)

Pros: Heat proof, scratch proof, UV proof. Can be used for outdoor BBQ areas and facades.
Cons: Natural variation. Room 101 might look slightly different from Room 102.

Recommendation

For Interiors/Guest Rooms: Go with Quartz (Calacatta Series).
For Exteriors/Lobbies: Go with Hard Granite (Black Galaxy, Steel Grey).
