The White Gold
Italy gave us Carrara. India gave us the Taj Mahal (Makrana Marble). Both regions produce world-class white stone.
Italian Marble (Carrara/Statuario)
The Look: Soft, milky white background with distinct grey/gold veins. The global symbol of luxury.
The Issue: Very soft. It stains if you look at it wrong. Expensive.
Indian Marble (Morwad/Agaria/Makrana)
The Look: Brighter, crystalline white. Often has straighter lines (figurative pattern) rather than random veins.
The Advantage: Much harder. Makrana marble is calcium-rich but incredibly dense. It doesn't yellow with age (proven by the Taj Mahal).
The Value Proposition
For pure luxury branding, Italian wins. For durability and extreme value for money, Indian marble is the smart architect's choice.
