To Seal or Not to Seal?
Indian Sandstone is beautiful but porous. It acts like a hard sponge. If you spill red wine or oil from a BBQ on it, it will stain deep into the stone. Furthermore, in damp climates like the UK, green algae loves to grow in the damp pores.
Our Recommendation
Yes, seal it. But choose the right product. Use an "Invisible Impregnator" sealer. This liquid soaks into the stone and repels water/oil from the inside without changing the natural look or texture of your Raj Green patio.
Avoid: Cheap "Surface Sealers" or lacquers. These create a shiny plastic film on top that makes the stone slippery when wet and peels off in ugly patches after a year.
