The Impossible Dream

Everyone wants the look of Carrara Marble with the durability of Granite. Geologically, granite contains biotite (black minerals), so "Pure White" granite is rare.

1. Alaska White (The Exotic)

Technically a Pegmatite. It features large feldspar crystals in icy white, silver, and cocoa. It is stunning and hides crumbs well.

2. Platinum White / P-White (The Budget)

A speckled salt-and-pepper stone. It is incredibly cheap, very hard, and uniform. Perfect for commercial housing or rental units.

3. Colonial White (The Creamy Option)

Soft grey and cream speckles with distinct garnet dots. It works beautifully with white cabinets for a 'soft' aesthetic.

Conclusion

If you want 100% pure white, buy Quartz. If you want 90% white with 100% character, buy Indian Granite.
